Default Change the way you edit templates.

I think it would be a very good idea to ditch the current way things are edited, such as templates...phrases...css etc and go back to how DT used to be and have everything in its own individual file rather than everything being contained in a database.

When trying to edit and save a template you have to wait a couple of minutes before it reads. This triples the time it takes to edit something.

When trying to edit phrases, you cant copy and past them as only half of the phrase gets saved. You have to type the entire phrqase out in the edit box.

Another thing I have found anoying when editing via the current method is there is no way to go back a step. For example if you edit something, decide it dosent work and you want to go back to the code before the edit, you cant. If they was in individual php files you can edit them in dreamweaver and simply click ctrl+z. Also when I have been editing in dreamweaver, iv pasted a css file into a template and saved it without realising. Iv had to go into the original database, find the code i had pasted over, remove the database code, and repaste this. In the meantime loosing any previous modifications I have done.

This makes searching through them a lot easier and quicker, and editing them is hassell free.

I also tried to get a coder to edit a function of the script for me, it took him a couple of days to get used to the script as it is totally different from anything else. This cost me additional money as the job took longer. Another job he was not able to do at all.

Please let me know if anybody else shares my view.
